Integrated Campaign – CUPE 37 & CUPE 38


Project Overview

CUPE Local 37 and CUPE Local 38 joined forces as they face the challenges of a city in an economic slump, to add to that a global pandemic has city council looking for ways to save costs.


The Result

A campaign was developed to focus on the importance and value of the work they do in keeping the city running, also by addressing the issues at hand and acknowledging the reality that cuts 1) need to be made, and 2) there are ways to do it without sacrificing services. The campaign ran TV, digital and social as well as a new microsite was built to specifically talk to the issues.

The Buzz

The campaign exceeded goals getting great uptake of online engagement with citizens discussing the issues and references factual content provided by the campaign. The conversation continues leading into the municipal election and beyond.
